The Guestinator

So Friday marked a momentous occasion in TWB's history for a couple reasons. It was the first time:

1. we've tackled coordinating duties for friends (invited guest + coordinator = guestinator, as coined by Erin), and
2. one of us flew solo for the entire wedding day.

While we were a Belle down, it was the same TWB at your service. Things pretty much went off without a hitch, and Laura and Dave treated their family and friends to a light-hearted day filled with small personal touches.

Can we just talk about the venue for a second? Appleford in Villanova, PA gives you so many options in terms of space, as the historic house sits amidst gardens and ponds. The couple opted for an outdoor ceremony set against a small waterfall, followed by cocktails in the garden and dinner and dancing on the house's tented patio.

Of course there is a slew of great wedding pros that helped make the day what it was. Ryan Estes took more photos than I've probably ever seen at a wedding. Robert Ryan Catering not only put together an inventive stations menu, but also had a staff that went above and beyond the typical catering call of duty. And you can't have a wedding without music, now can you? Siena Strings played during the ceremony and cocktails, while cover band The Insiders kept things lively on the dance floor until reception's end.

One of the coolest things for me was the fact that Laura and Dave reached out to talented friends for certain aspects of the day. Florals? Completely done by a friend, from centerpieces to bouquets to rose petals for the aisle. First dance song? Not the recorded track but an acoustic version performed live by two friends. Talk about personal.

Congrats again to Laura and Dave, not only on their marriage but for throwing an awesome party, too.

We hope to put the 'T' back in TWB with some upcoming weddings soon!
