I remember hearing about a few ornament swaps last holiday season, and I had it on my to-do list to make sure I scoped one out this year now that I wasn't so preoccupied with a little thing like planning my own wedding. Making more than one ornament seemed a bit daunting to me, so I shied away from anything that I thought would be too time consuming. I was really excited when I got word of the Handmade Holiday Ornament Swap hosted by Blush + Jelly and Truly Chic Inspirations, though. Send out one ornament and get one back? Oh yes, sign me right up.
As I've noted on a few occasions before, I am sometimes still seriously slacking when it comes to this whole blogger thing. I totally forgot to take a photo of my crafty little creation before I packed it up and sent it on its way. Boo. It was something I thought up that involved washi tape and floral wire, and stuck to a blue, green, and orange color scheme. Nothing remarkable but I would've like to show you nonetheless.
But, hooray, I do have photos of the ornament I received in the mail last week from Rori. Once I hung it up, I realized that my growing ornament collection was lacking any purple so this is a welcomed addition.
Rori also sent along a few cute things from her Etsy shop, which was such a thoughtful surprise.
Did anyone else do a little holiday swapping this year? Let us know/link up in the comments!
Oh Two Wedding Belles, always so current. I was just perusing blogs to find some inspiration for a DIY ornament for my boyfriend. I found this cute idea http://tatertotsandjello.com/2010/11/guest-project-make-sentimental.html for a "sentimental" ornament.
ReplyDeleteI love holiday Swaps though I didn't participate in one this year.
