"Eyes on the Bride" is a new feature here at TWB - so many of our friends are recently engaged and planning weddings of their own. We are so excited for them and want to share their happy news with the world.
Tal is a dear friend from our college days at Penn State. She is planning a late fall wedding in Baltimore with her fiance, Scott. They are an adorable couple, and clearly very much in love. They have a great story because although they both graduated from PSU, they never met until years later when they were set up on a blind date. Below is a look into their upcoming wedding, in Tal's words.

Groom's Name, Age, Occupation -- Scott Bloom, 28, Electrical Engineer
City of Residence -- Baltimore
Wedding Location -- The Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, MD
How you met -- Set up on a blind date by my boss/his neighbor
How long you've dated -- Since Jan 2009, Engaged since Nov 2009
How he proposed -- Scott surprised me at my office with flowers and the card instructed me to look out my window. When I looked outside, he was standing in the middle of the city street with a sign asking me to marry him.
(personal photo)
Wedding colors/theme -- Chocolate brown and champagne
Bridesmaids' dresses info -- Chocolate brown long, flowy dresses by Bill Levkoff.
Best part of planning -- Registering for all the great things we'd never buy ourselves but always wanted!
Worst part of planning -- Sticking to our budget :(
Most surprising part of planning -- We didn't realize how much things cost so the shock factor was big at first but we're getting used to it
Favorite vendor so far -- We absolutely LOVE our photographer - Maria Vicencio of Maria Vicencio Photography
Places you registered -- Crate & Barrel and Bed, Bath, & Beyond
Any Do-It-Yourself (DIY) plans? -- We haven't really done anything ourselves but we're going with a lot of start-up vendors that have all been amazing!
Honeymoon Location -- To be determined but probably a resort in Mexico.
Thanks, Tal and Scott! We can't wait to follow up with a recap of your November wedding. Congratulations and enjoy planning!
