We are two friends who met as freshman engineering majors. (Far cry from wedding planning!) After graduation, we relocated to DC (Erin) and Philly by way of Baltimore (Jessica).
We realized that our a shared love of weddings and an uncanny knack for carrying a clipboard made us perfect candidates for a start-up day-of coordination biz. In all seriousness, this endeavor is a passion for both of us, provides an outlet for our creativity, and an opportunity for us to share our skills, if just for a day, to help a couple realize the wedding they've been dreaming about.
We approach each new event with the growing enthusiasm that comes from doing something you truly love. In fact, while still building a client base for our little DOC enterprise, we were thirsting for even more wedding in our lives, so we launched a new and improved blog in 2009.
Jessica is a newlywed who lives in Philadelphia. She just recently tackled planning her own wedding, and likewise has plenty of inspiration to share. To her, a wedding is a good excuse for a great party.
Erin lives outside of Washington, D.C. loves weddings primarily for the sentimental reasons, but can appreciate a fabulous aesthetic as much as the next gal.
